TRICHOPOWER™ SCIENCE
Inspired by hair.
According to the manufacturer, TRICHOPOWER™ SCIENCE is based on keratin biomimetics: peptide building blocks are combined with the natural composition of hair in mind. The aim is to support damaged hair structures from within and on the surface.
The protective layer
The cuticle consists of overlapping scales. It surrounds the hair fibre and shapes its surface.
Inside the hair fibre
The cortex contains elongated cells with fine fibre bundles. This region contributes substantially to the strength of hair.
Keratin building blocks
The fine fibres consist of keratin proteins. Amino acids form their chains, while bonds stabilise the structure.
TRICHOPOWER™ SCIENCE
The ingredient building blocks
Small, complementary building blocks: a biomimetic peptide, hydrolysed plant proteins and additional amino acids form the active ingredient concept of the formula.
Biomimetic octapeptide
Eight amino acids form this small peptide with a molecular weight of approximately 1 kDa.
Hydrolysed plant proteins
Proteins from soy, rice and peas complement the octapeptide to form the 24-amino-peptide complex.
Arginine & lysine
These two amino acids complement the formula as boosters.

Regeneration of disulphide bonds
The manufacturer reports this laboratory value after use of the 24KERATS product line, based on thiol-group determination using Ellman's assay. The microscope images show the hair surface; they do not measure this percentage.
